by the company you keep.

This saying is one I often use as a guide.

Today I was listening to an interview of a local man who is a retired military person and has become a leader in the community. When asked about his political stance, he admitted that he is a registered democrat, however he had never voted a straight ticket. (Good for you, sir.) He stated that he uses this same saying as his measurement tool for who he should vote for.

This makes a great deal of sense. It goes along with the leopard and spots. It just reminds me that I am voting for the best person for President of the United States.
