Most of you probably don't know that I can sew. My mother taught me to sew on her sewing machine when I was 6 years old. I now enjoy sewing for relaxation.
This is a store I walked in to in Herrenberg (Germany) and I thought I had died and gone to heaven. If you haven't figured it out yet, those are buttons. Well, tubes of buttons with a sample of what is in the tube attached to the top of it. There were buttons of every size, shape and color. I couldn't decide which ones to buy and I never got the chance to go back and look again. Next time I am there I intend to get some. I have never seen so many different buttons in any one place. Oh, the other side of the store was just as exciting, it had zippers . Not just one or two, look at them! The funny part was the store didn't have any fabric in it, just notions. I think next time I go I will have to take patterns along. There were also decorative stitchery edging also.

OH MY STARS -- If I ever get to Herrenberg I will have to put that stop on my list.
Me, me, me! I would have loved to see that store. However, I get easily overwhelmed by all those choices. I would have wandered and marveled for hours but not bought anything. Do you have a close-up shot of the button tubes?
alto2,
No close up, I will try to mess with the original photo. The tubes are like very long film cannisters. (about 8 inches long) I will make sure to get a better shot if we get to go in June.
